Oqaasileriffik in Nuuk is looking for an assistant, consultant, or academic assistant for lexicographic and terminological tasks. The position is to be filled as soon as possible or by mutual agreement.
About the position

The position includes the following tasks: Linguistic processing with a focus on lexicographic and terminological work, including the collection, registration, examination, and documentation of terms.

Handling of other ad hoc tasks within language work

Participation in collaborative projects regarding lexicography and terminology development

Participation in collaborative projects regarding Greenlandic and possibly other Inuit languages as well as Nordic languages.

Participation in Oqaasileriffik's black service and communication tasks
Qualifications

We expect you to have a relevant linguistic education.

Has a broad background knowledge and experience in language processing, particularly focusing on the Greenlandic language.

Has solid knowledge of lexicographic and terminological work.

Has knowledge of research methods

Can work independently and in a structured manner.

Is proactive and resourceful

Mastering Greenlandic at a native level as well as Danish and English.

Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation travel and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
