KNI is seeking a category developer for hard nonfood in the purchasing department, starting June 1, 2026. You will be responsible for developing and optimizing assortments within the categories: Hard nonfood, including electronics, fishing and hunting, white goods, building materials, and outdoor. The position requires strong analytical and communication skills.

KNI is looking for a category developer in hard non-food for the purchasing department, starting on June 1, 2026, or by further agreement.
KNI's purchasing department at the Service Center is responsible for purchasing for Pilersuisoq's 64 stores and KNI Wholesale. The purchasing responsibility is handled by 3 category developers divided into food, soft non-food, and hard non-food. In addition, there are category supporters employed, who act as the link between the category developers, the stores, and suppliers, and are responsible for the many administrative tasks associated with purchasing.
As part of the purchasing department, you will report to the category manager for hard non-food.
As a category developer, you will be responsible for:
Participation in developing and optimizing locally adapted assortments within the categories: Hard non-food including electronics, capture and fishing, large appliances, building materials, and outdoor.
Develop and optimize the categories
Contribute to the preparation and adherence to budgets and other strategic performance targets.
Ensure the implementation and retention of KNI's values and strategies.
As a category developer, your primary tasks will be:
Analyze and adjust assortments
Calculation and pricing
Ensure timely delivery of campaign goods
Follow-up on marketing
Follow-up on entered supplier agreements
Prepare purchasing budgets by category
Close dialogue with stores
