Therapy Employee

The Qeersaat nursing home located in Qasigiannguit is seeking a therapy employee to start on April 1, 2026. The position is 40 hours/week and involves crafting, activity planning, health promotion work, and collaboration with external partners. Applicants must be trained social helpers/social assistants or educators.

The Municipality of Qeqertalik Qasigiannguit nursing home is seeking a therapy worker who can start on April 1, 2026, or by agreement.

The position is 40 hours/week. There are 20 residents and about 30 staff in Qeersaat illuat.

Work tasks:

Handicrafts, diligent activities, songs, books, going for a walk, etc.

·Planning of activities on a monthly and yearly basis.

Preventive/health-promoting work in collaboration with other staff groups.

Establishes collaboration in the city with workplaces, associations, and similar.

·Contribute to helping the residents maintain their level of functioning.

Coffee gathering responsible during residents' birthdays and other events.

·And other relevant areas of responsibility for the therapy staff.

We expect:

·Trained as a social helper/social assistant or educator.

Can work independently and have ideas as well as contribute to creating action plans for the residents' activities.

·Physically and mentally resilient

·Enjoy working with elderly, dementia, and disabled residents.

·Good willingness to cooperate

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions will be in accordance with the applicable collective agreement with the currently authorized negotiating trade union.

Housing cannot be provided for the position.

Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory criminal record and child certificate. These will be obtained by the hiring authority with the employee's written consent, after which the hiring authority will request them from the National Police.

Criminal record:

This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.
