We are looking for teachers who are eager to work as free school teachers with many varied tasks often across the entire school. We need colleagues who take professionalism seriously and who do not see academic strength as opposed to the school's educational mission. Therefore, we would like you to describe in your application how your commitment can not only improve the school's academic foundation but also justify how you see it playing a role in relation to our values, which you will, of course, become a co-owner of.

We are a smaller school where there is a need for specialists who can also contribute to the broader picture of academic tasks. This means that you should be prepared to take on tasks that occasionally challenge your own teaching expertise.

1. For the first position, we are looking for a teacher who has the courage and ability to create stable structures and frameworks for our youngest grade and who preferably has music as a major subject or has a musical approach to teaching.

2. For the 2nd position, we are looking for a teacher who can participate in a flexible coverage of our subjects at the middle and upper levels. There is an opportunity to influence the position and teacher teams with the qualifications you bring to the table. We would prefer a candidate with qualifications in the subjects of Greenlandic, mathematics, and natural sciences.

3. For the 3rd position, we are looking for a teacher who can help us fulfill the school's task of ensuring the offer of a 3rd foreign language to students in grades 7-10. NIF has an ambition to provide students with language instruction beyond Greenlandic, Danish, and English. Therefore, we are seeking a language teacher who has expertise in a language subject beyond those mentioned; it could be, for example, German, French, Spanish, or Italian. However, we are open to other possibilities. Additionally, we would like you to have qualifications that can contribute to the school's other classes.

Criminal and Child Certificate

The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin once we have received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once we have received the child certificate from the National Police as well as the criminal record from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the free school with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the applicant from the Police.

Employment and remuneration are in accordance with the applicable agreement between IMAK and Nuuk International School. Start date: as soon as possible.
