Greenland Self-Government Tax Administration is seeking 2 bailiffs/administrative officers or consultants.
At the Tax Agency, there are 2 positions as a bailiff available for appointment from August 1, 2026, or by further agreement.
The position is organizationally located in the collection department with the workplace at the Tax Agency's office in Sisimiut.
Work tasks:
Primarily with debt collection in relation to citizens and self-employed individuals. Therefore, the ability for independent case processing is required, as well as knowledge of the relevant legislation regarding collection, understanding of accounting, and good formulation and negotiation skills in relation to debtors.
In addition, you must participate in all other collection tasks as well as cross-functional tasks in collaboration with other departments at the Tax Agency.

The collection department is responsible for the collection of all types of public claims.
There are currently 20 employees in the collection department, which has offices located in Nuuk, Qaqortoq, Maniitsoq, Sisimiut, and Ilulissat.
You will report to the office manager in the collections department.
Qualifications:
We imagine that you have an office education or a similar administrative education, combined with relevant work experience, as well as good IT skills and that you can work independently, committed, steadily, and responsibly.
It will be an advantage if you are bilingual in Greenlandic/Danish/English.
Knowledge of Greenlandic culture and the Greenlandic society.
Knowledge of the area and legislation as well as understanding of accounting.

Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving as well as relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in effect at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Housing
An unfurnished staff housing can be assigned to the position according to the applicable rules at any given time. Housing cannot be assigned to individuals who already have staff housing or another property owned by the municipality or the Government of Greenland. Rent and deposit are paid according to the applicable rules for the assigned housing. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
Rent and housing standards may vary depending on the age of the property, ownership conditions, etc. There may be a waiting period for the allocation of permanent staff housing, which is why temporary accommodation may occur, including in smaller co-housing communities or hotel apartments, for which taxation applies. It is not possible to keep larger pets such as dogs or cats in staff or temporary housing.
