Princess Margrethe School is looking for a School Social Worker

Princess Margrethe School in Upernavik is seeking an engaged school social worker who is passionate about early intervention, well-being, and prevention. With us, you will have the opportunity to work closely with students, families, teachers, and authorities to create the best conditions for children's development.

The school social worker will act as a liaison for the Family Administration and will collaborate with the school to ensure that relevant support for students with social or behavioral difficulties is provided.

Princess Margrethe School is a public school with approximately 180 students across grades 1-10 and 2 special classes.

Start date: January 1, 2027, or by agreement.

You will among other things:

• conduct supportive and guiding conversations with students
• support students who need a good start to the school day
• advise and guide parents and the school's staff
• participate in interdisciplinary meetings with the Family Administration
• contribute to early and preventive initiatives
• be a link between school, home, and authorities
• assist in developing the school's work with well-being and inclusion

• have experience from the school, family, or social sector

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between Naalakkersuisut and the negotiating organization at the time of commencement.

Vacation is taken during the students' summer break.

Unfortunately, no housing is provided
