Plejecenter Ippiarsuk is looking for a healthcare assistant

Ippiarsuk: Ippiarsuk is a nursing home with space for 34 residents and an Activity Center with 35 day users. The residents are distributed across 3 departments, with 11-11-12 residents in each department. The staff at Ippiarsuk have the following qualifications: Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Health Helpers, and unskilled workers. In addition to our 3 departments, the house consists of an Activity Center, Kitchen, Laundry, administration, caretaker, and Driver. At Ippiarsuk, we have just over 70 employees. In addition to our 3 departments, we also have a department Pakkutaq which falls under the Disability and social psychiatry area.

The working hours are full-time at 40 hours per week, both day/evening and night shifts, as well as shifts every 2 weekends.

∙That you preferably are bilingual, but it is not a hindrance.

As a healthcare assistant with us, you will have a central role in ensuring high professional quality and security in the citizens' daily lives. You will work independently and professionally with nursing tasks, including medication dosing, observations, and documentation. We are looking for someone who is professionally strong, calm, and robust in a busy everyday life - and who can maintain an overview, even when unforeseen situations arise.

Criminal record:

This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a criminal record. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon when the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

There will be the possibility of assigning staff housing for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the applicable rules for rent payment in the Government of Greenland and the municipality's properties, etc. in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, temporary staff housing will be offered to employees entitled to vacant housing, for which rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the above. The start date depends on when there is staff housing available. A relocation travel and moving expenses will be provided according to applicable rules.
