Position as an occupational therapist at the southern tip of Greenland!

We have something cool to offer you if you see challenges as a game. Our occupational therapist has resigned, so we need a new one here!

Assistive devices and ADL training, for children and adults in beautiful harmony. The ortho-, neuro-, psychiatric-, citizen group is versatile, you need to be flexible in your work tasks.

To gaze over the fjord and mountain, perhaps a polar bear, if you're lucky. The work calls in several towns, provided you don't shy away from a helicopter ride.

We don't have dogs and sleds, but we gladly accept your application. Get started, shave that goat now, and seize this unique opportunity

If we were to summarize, we are looking for an occupational therapist for South Greenland. The position is split half-time in the municipality and half-time at Qaqortoq Hospital, and you will cover all kinds of diagnoses in all possible categories.

We work with citizens and patients of all age groups, and the tasks include:

Rehabilitation, restorative and maintenance training

Examination and treatment

Training in the citizen's home and at the Therapy House, and home visits with assessment and distribution of assistive devices in the municipality

At the hospital, you will handle both clinical and administrative tasks, including examination and treatment of inpatients and outpatients, and you will engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with the hospital's other professional groups. You will have your workflow in Qaqortoq, and divide your time between the municipality and the hospital, where some tasks belong to one place and other tasks to the other. We will of course help you navigate this. The work also involves traveling to the other towns and settlements in the municipality, both for the municipality and the hospital, and it usually lasts for a workweek. And the transport is as previously described: helicopter or by boat, as there are no roads between towns and settlements.

You will experience being challenged in things you haven't tried before, and it requires a bit of thinking outside the box – but we help each other.
