At the Technical and Environmental Department in Qaqortoq, the position of technician is available for appointment from December 1, 2026 or by further agreement.

The technician is organizationally placed in the Technical Administration in Qaqortoq, but has collaborative relationships with all municipal administrations as well as tasks in all three towns and 11 settlements. Therefore, a certain amount of travel activities around the municipality should be expected.

The Position

You will work as a technician in the administration. Areas of responsibility and competence will primarily include the following:

• Supervision in the Environmental area.
• Authority tasks in the construction area.
• Minor design and supervision tasks.
• Inspection and assessment of buildings.
• Land administration.
• Supervision of various tasks in the settlements and sheep farming places associated with Nanortalik.
• Supervision of the operational area as well as other tasks across the administration.

We Expect You To:

·Have a relevant education and preferably experience with some of the work areas.

·Be multilingual (Greenlandic, Danish, English…).

·Be service-oriented with good collaboration skills and a good mood.

·Be able to work independently and systematically.

·Have an understanding of IT and at least knowledge of the Office suite, NunaGIS, and ArcGIS.

·Be able to express yourself clearly and visionarily in drawing, writing, and speaking.

Salary and Employment Conditions

Employment and remuneration will be in accordance with applicable agreements between the Government of Greenland and the relevant professional organization.

Housing can be provided for the position, for which a deposit and rent, etc., will be paid according to applicable rules.

The municipality covers the travel and relocation expenses associated with the employment according to applicable rules.
