The Consumer and Competition Authority is seeking a consultant for the secretariat who will work with legal case processing and administration. The position requires a strong administrative background and experience in public administration. You will work closely with lawyers and case handlers.
The Consumer and Competition Authority is looking for a consultant for our secretariat, who will work at the intersection of legal case processing, board servicing, and administration.
We are a smaller authority with many different areas of expertise and boards. The position is therefore suitable for you who have a strong administrative background, experience with public administration, and an interest in legal case processing.
You will be part of the authority's secretariat and will work closely with the authority's lawyers, other case handlers, interpreters, and management.
Your tasks
The position combines independent case processing with administrative and cross-cutting tasks. Your tasks will include:
- independent case processing of complaint cases, initially in the area of the Housing Complaint Board and later possibly also in the area of the Social Appeals Board
- case clarification, gathering and assessing information and documents, as well as contact with citizens, authorities, and other parties
- party hearing and application of general administrative law rules in case processing
- preparation of case presentations, notes, as well as drafts for recommendations and decisions for legal quality assurance
- coordination, preparation, and practical implementation of board meetings, as well as subsequent follow-up
- cross-cutting coordination between the authority's various boards, areas of expertise, and employees
- training and practical guidance of students and interns
- creation, journaling, and processing of cases in Public360
- handling of shared mail, telephone inquiries, and other secretarial tasks
- light written and oral translation/interpreting tasks between Greenlandic and Danish
- contribution to the development of workflows, templates, and administrative procedures
- other relevant tasks in the secretariat.
You will have the opportunity to gradually work with more of the authority's areas of expertise depending on your competencies, interests, and the authority's needs.
Your profile
We envision that you have a relevant administrative education and preferably further education in public administration, legal case processing, or a related field.
It is an advantage if you have experience from public administration and with independent case processing. You should be able to work in a structured and independent manner, be able to understand rules and complex case processes, and at the same time have an eye for the administrative processes surrounding a case.
We also emphasize that you are good at coordinating, thrive with many different tasks, and can collaborate across professional groups.
It is a requirement that you can communicate in both Greenlandic and Danish, as light interpreting and translation tasks are part of the position.
Familiarity with Public360 and experience with board or authority servicing is an advantage, but not a requirement.
About the Consumer and Competition Authority
The Consumer and Competition Authority administers a number of different boards and areas of expertise within consumer, competition, procurement, social, housing, and complaint areas.
We are a smaller workplace where employees work closely together across areas of expertise. This means that you will have the opportunity to take independent responsibility and continuously develop your competencies.
Salary and employment conditions

For an applicant with the right documentable competencies, employment can occur as a special consultant, chief consultant, or senior advisor in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
