Dynamic fisheries and hunting consultant in Sisimiut

We are looking for a fisheries and hunting consultant who has knowledge of regulations and legislation within the fisheries and hunting area. You should have knowledge of subsidy opportunities for fishermen and hunters, and about financing for the purchase of new boats and equipment. The tasks will be of a varied nature. Learning will take place.

As a fisheries and hunting consultant, you will among other things have the following tasks:

• Management of living resources in the Sisimiut management area
• Contact with fishermen, hunters, recreational hunters, trophy hunters, fishing organizations, and the Self-Government
• Processing applications regarding hunting and fishing    
• Distribution of quotas
• Advising on subsidies for the purchase of vessels
• Registration of vessels with the Maritime Authority
• Responding to various consultations in collaboration with colleagues
• Development of the fisheries and hunting industry
• Has knowledge of the legislation within the industry
• Interdisciplinary collaboration with the involved parties
• Case presentations to the committee
• Secretary for the committee for fisheries and hunting
• Various ad hoc tasks

• Good communicator
• Respects assigned tasks, and is able to complete them
• Has IT skills at user level
• Stable, loyal, and in a good mood
• Systematic and structured
• Good linguistic and written competencies in Danish and Greenlandic

Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to free travel and relocation of belongings, are in accordance with the agreements and collective agreements in force between Naalakkersuisut and your negotiating
organization.
Housing may be provided, for which rent etc. is paid according to applicable rules.

The position is administratively located in Sisimiut and organized under the Secretariat Manager in Sisimiut.

Commencement as soon as possible or by agreement.
