About the position

Youth Club/Senior Club Illu is looking for a dedicated and responsible educator for our senior club in Illu. The position is full-time with start date to be agreed upon.

As an educator, you will be involved in the daily educational work with children and young people and help plan and implement activities that promote well-being, learning, community, and personal development.

Your tasks

·Plan and implement educational activities

·Create a safe and inclusive environment for children and young people

·Support the social and personal development of children and young people

·Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and relevant partners

·Contribute actively to the development of the club's educational practice

We expect you to

·Be a trained educator or have equivalent education

·Have experience with or interest in working with children and young people

·Be proactive, responsible, and good at collaborating

·Be able to work independently while also being part of a strong team

·Master Greenlandic and Danish. This is an advantage, but not a requirement

Criminal and Child Certificate:

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police as well as the criminal certificate from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

No staff housing can be provided for the position.
