In December, the sailing season in Disko Bay ends, and this means more inquiries to the Health Service in the Disko Region. Therefore, we need substitutes for short-term positions in December / January with competencies preferably in general or internal medicine.

You should be able to start around November 17, December 1, December 9, or by agreement and have the opportunity to be a substitute with us for a minimum of 6 weeks.

We are looking for you who:

• Are a specialist doctor or have 2 - 3 years of clinical experience. Preferably experience in diagnostics within internal medicine / general medicine.
• Can work independently in the outpatient clinics and plan the diagnostics for the patients.
• Enjoy working in a TEAM across specialties and seek the challenge of working in the Greenlandic culture.

Aasiaat Hospital

Is a regional hospital in Aasiaat with 15 beds and a large outpatient function, which also includes telemedicine consultations with our smaller towns and settlements in the Disko Region. Doctors primarily have three functions: Outpatient clinic, ward rounds, and on-call duties. You are on call from home and are compensated with an on-call allowance and 5 hours of pay per shift.

Aasiaat is a cozy and family-friendly town with about 3000 inhabitants. It is located in the Disko Region in the southern part of Disko Bay. In total, there are about 6000 inhabitants in the region. There is a ski club and good opportunities for cross-country skiing, fitness, or crossfit.

Housing will be provided according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic Health Service at any given time.

Salary and employment

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Candidates who possess additional qualifications beyond those specified above, such as relevant diploma or master's levels, may be entitled to additional remuneration in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and the company's guidelines.

Doctor/Dentist: Employment is conditional upon your ability to present a valid Danish authorization.

Citizenship

If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional upon a valid residence and work permit. A residence and work permit can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
