RE-ADVERTISEMENT:

Do you want to help promote public health, strengthen community life, and create healthy frameworks for both children, youth, and adults in Kommune Kujalleq? We are looking for an initiative-taking and professionally strong prevention consultant to start on 1. December 2026 or by agreement.

The position is located in the Administration for Prevention and Culture with reference to the Head of Culture and Leisure. You will play a key role as a bridge-builder between the municipality's strategic goals for public health and the voluntary enthusiasts, schools, institutions, and the local community.

Your primary tasks:

• Public health and campaigns: Develop, coordinate, and roll out preventive initiatives and information campaigns focusing on, among other things, substances, tobacco, diet, exercise, and mental health.
• Support for sports and community life: Strengthen, motivate, and develop organized sports life and the voluntary associations in the municipality.
• Interdisciplinary collaboration: Establish and maintain strong networks with schools, daycare institutions, social administration, healthcare, police (SSP), and local organizations.
• Advising and method development: Advise the municipality's institutions on health promotion and act as a subject specialist in specific or acute issues.
• Project ownership & Paarisa: Be the municipality's primary contact point for Paarisa, apply for external project funds (in collaboration with the AC officer), and ensure evaluation and reporting.
• Citizen involvement: Create frameworks for active citizen involvement in both towns and settlements.
• Committee work: Serve and provide professional sparring to relevant prevention committees.

Our expectations of you:

• Education: You have a relevant education (e.g., nurse, health visitor, nutrition and health, educator, social worker) or another relevant higher education with a specialization in public health or project management of cultural projects.
• Experience: You have experience with project management, communication, networking, and behavior-changing initiatives.
• Personal qualities: You are empathetic, listening, proactive, and have impact in your communication.
• Language: It is a requirement that you are bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish in both writing and speaking.

Salary and employment conditions:

• Employment type: Permanent employment on a full-time basis.
• Agreement: Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable AK functional agreement.
• Child and criminal record: The position is subject to requirements for child and criminal records. Employment can only be finally agreed upon when satisfactory records are available.

• Working environment: Kommune Kujalleq has a smoke-free working time at all municipal workplaces.
