Greenland Police is seeking an administrative employee for Kangerlussuaq Police Station. The position involves citizen service, interpretation, and administrative tasks. You will be an important part of the daily operations at the police station, where you will among other things work with interpretation, citizen service, and various administrative case processing tasks.

About Greenland's Police
Kangerlussuaq Police Station is part of the Sisimiut Police District and handles police tasks in Kangerlussuaq. The police station is staffed with two police officers, one administrative employee, and reserve officers.
Furthermore, the Sisimiut Police District includes the police stations in Sisimiut and Maniitsoq as well as four settlements. The district leader is stationed in Sisimiut.

About the position
As an administrative employee at Kangerlussuaq Police Station, you will have a versatile everyday life, where you will both have contact with citizens and solve administrative tasks that support the police's daily work.
Your primary tasks will include:
oral and written interpretation between Greenlandic and Danish
citizen service, including daily expeditions and guidance of citizens
administrative accounting tasks
case processing, including enforcement and paternity cases
registration and deregistration of vehicles
ordering and administration of passports and driver's licenses
responding to and forwarding inquiries via email and phone
ordering office supplies and other materials
other administrative ad hoc tasks
You will play a central role in the daily operations at the police station, and it is therefore important that you thrive in a varied workday, where tasks can shift from citizen service and interpretation to administrative matters and practical operational tasks.
About you
We are looking for a colleague who:
has a relevant office education, e.g., TNI, AU, or similar, or solid administrative experience from a similar position
works independently and structured while also thriving in close collaboration with colleagues
is service-minded, welcoming, and reliable, and can maintain an overview – even when it is busy
has good IT skills and can quickly familiarize themselves with new systems and workflows
master both Greenlandic and Danish at a high level, both written and spoken
It is an advantage if you have experience with administrative work, case processing, citizen service, or interpretation, but the most important thing is that you are eager to learn, take responsibility for your tasks, and contribute positively to the workplace community.

Salary and employment conditions
Compensation will be based on educational level and qualifications, and in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the relevant organization.
Working hours are 40 hours per week, and are primarily planned during daytime on weekdays, but there may be occasional opportunities for other working hours on weekdays and weekends.
The employment period is indefinite.
A furnished staff housing may be assigned to the position, for which you will pay a deposit, rent, and ongoing expenses. The size of the housing depends on the number of people in your household. Since there may be a waiting period for the assignment of staff housing, a furnished temporary housing will be made available in the meantime. There may be accommodation in a hotel for a short period if there is also a waiting period for a temporary housing. No temporary housing will be provided if you are already residing in Kangerlussuaq.
Free relocation of personal belongings and travel expenses for you and your household will be provided in accordance with the applicable rules at any given time.
It is a prerequisite that you can be security cleared at the necessary level for the position. You may be required to perform functions where a higher security clearance is necessary. Employment in the police and in the prosecution service is conditional on your ability to maintain the required security clearance at all times.
Greenland's Police has implemented smoke- and nicotine-free working hours.
