Tasiilami Alivarpi is looking for 5 teachers for our school to start as soon as possible or by agreement

For our school in Tasiilaq, Tasiilami Alivarpi, we are looking for skilled and dedicated qualified teachers for a multi-level school with 336 students and 49 teachers. The school includes students from 1st to 10th grade, 6 special classes, and has a management team consisting of a school principal, two vice principals, and 4 department heads.

We need different competencies:

We are open to different professional profiles. We are looking for teachers who can teach Greenlandic, Danish, English, mathematics, and other subjects in primary school.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal and child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon when the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police as well as the criminal certificate from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

There will be staff housing available for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the rules for rent payment in the Government of Greenland and the municipality's properties in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, temporary staff housing will be offered to employees entitled to vacation housing, for which rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the above. The start date depends on when there is staff housing available. A relocation travel and moving expenses will be provided according to applicable rules.
