Tasersuup Atuarfia is looking for teachers for employment from November 1, 2026 or by further agreement.

The schools' work with development in Kommune Kujalleq plays a central role. They are working to improve the grades. It has been several years since they started using iPads, so we are keeping up with the developments in the IT field. We are looking for competent teachers who can influence the development work.

Tasersuup Atuarfia

At Tasersuup Atuarfia, you will meet teachers who collaborate well. The school has a social worker who acts as a coordinator between the various agencies and as a strength in the work against bullying and in collaboration with the parents. The teachers teach based on their subject competencies. Kommune Kujalleq holds continuous effective courses for its employees to create good collaboration and innovation. In connection with Kommune Kujalleq's care for its employees, coffee and tea are served every day and breakfast is offered once a week. Furthermore, students with special needs can have breakfast at school every morning as well as during the lunch break.

It is particularly noteworthy that the school continues to work on the development of parental collaboration. With the use of iPads in teaching, there is a collaboration with four special mentors and particularly skilled students in connection with the Kivitsisa project.

Qaqortoq is the most important town in South Greenland with over 3,000 inhabitants. Tasersuup Atuarfia has 430 students. There are 33 classes including special classes, such as Tungujortuaraq. There are in total - teachers. There are skilled and experienced but also some newer leaders. There are four divided levels, which are pedagogical and development consultants, and we have good collaboration with village teachers and home teachers who are also advisors for the sheep farmers, IT / iPad consultants, school consultants, and other agencies.

Furthermore, the school manages a leisure/school care arrangement as well as a student home.

Child certificate:

The position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a child certificate and criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has obtained a child certificate.

The child certificate is one of the decisive requirements in connection with the municipality's decision regarding who should be employed for the position.

Commencement travel

In connection with the employment, the employee and family will have their travel paid, and after three years, their travel will be paid if the teacher leaves the job, and according to the rules, an allowance is provided during the move.

EMPLOYMENT ON FAVORABLE TERMS

Employment is based on the agreement of May 25, 2021, between Naalakkersuisut and IMAK. For applicants who are already civil servants in Greenland, this form of employment can be continued.

To attract qualified applicants, employment is offered under the Agreement on Employment on Special Fixed-Term Conditions. This means in practice that the employee and their family are provided with a vacation travel allowance after every 12 months of employment according to the applicable rules. In addition, a severance amount of 18,000 DKK per year of employment at 1991 level is deposited into a closed account. The severance amount is paid out after the employment ends.

Staff housing

Housing can be provided, for which rent and deposit are paid according to applicable rules.
