Inussuk A/S is looking for 2 plumbers for a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension to Pituffik Space Base.

On behalf of Inussuk A/S, which manages the maintenance of Pituffik Space Base, subcontractor V2X Services A/S is seeking a skilled and versatile plumber for Utilities & Facilities Maintenance (UFM).

The position is a unique opportunity to work in a technically demanding and international environment – in some of the world's most extreme surroundings. Overtime and changing working hours may occur.

About the position

You will be part of the UFM department, which is responsible for the operation and planned maintenance of the base's technical installations – including water, heating, and energy systems.

The work takes place in an Arctic environment, where flexibility, collaboration, and technical overview are crucial.

Primary work – and responsibilities

• Perform planned preventive maintenance according to established maintenance programs and ensure proper documentation of completed work.
• Monitor and control the operation and performance of the facilities to ensure stable and safe operation.
• Record and document completed work in relevant systems and reporting tools.
• Comply with all applicable requirements regarding safety, environment, and working conditions.
• Collaborate with other technical departments in connection with operations, troubleshooting, and technical projects.
• Installation of plumbing in residential and industrial buildings and distribution systems, including installation of sprinklers, water, heating, ventilation, and drainage systems.
• Contribute to supporting the base's operational mission according to the contract's requirements.

Secondary work and responsibilities

• Participate in technical projects and improvements of existing installations.
• Contribute to the optimization of procedures, instructions, and work processes.
• Collaborate across disciplines in the UFM organization.
• Participate in cross-training and support other technical functions as needed.
• Perform ad hoc tasks related to operations and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Qualified plumber or equivalent technical education.
• Experience with plumbing control and regulation technology.
• Experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of technical installations.
• Basic IT skills, including the use of documentation and maintenance systems.
• English at a minimum level 2.
• Forklift certification is an advantage.

Employment requirements

• Valid Danish or Greenlandic driver's license & passport
• Danish citizenship is required for employment, and a valid driver's license for passenger cars is also a prerequisite.
• Additionally, we have heightened health requirements, and you must be able to obtain a security clearance from PET (including a clean criminal record)
