Become a Laboratory Technician in Greenland and take on a central role in sampling, laboratory testing, and analysis of, among other things, drinking water, aviation fuel, and wastewater.

On behalf of Inussuk A/S, which maintains Pituffik Space Base, subcontractor V2X A/S is seeking a Laboratory Technician for employment and departure as soon as possible.

Job Responsibilities

• Sampling, laboratory testing and analysis of drinking water, aviation fuel and wastewater, as well as occasional analysis of boiler water, district heating water and glycol.
• Ad hoc environmental/work environment analyses regarding radiation, waste, stormwater, soil, etc.
• Shipping of sample material for external analysis
• Preparation and maintenance of analysis plans
• Reporting, documentation and evaluation of test results
• Updating of environmental plans and analysis plans
• Control and calibration of measuring equipment
• Monitoring of laboratory stocks and ordering of goods as needed
• Communication with internal departments and external laboratories regarding sample shipments
• Contact with Fuels Supervisor regarding aviation fuel and tanker operations
• Contact with relevant departments regarding sampling and planning of special tasks
• Correspondence with US Space Force within the mentioned areas of responsibility
• Make decisions within own areas of responsibility related to daily operations and systems
• Cross-training in accordance with the department's needs
• Responsible for ensuring observed deviations are reported to the nearest manager
• Updating of various training materials

Qualifications and Experience

• Education in sampling and analysis, such as laboratory technician, laboratory technician or similar
• Practical experience with sampling and analysis is an advantage
• Administratively competent
• Course in sampling and analysis of airborne asbestos fibers is an advantage
• Course in ionizing and non-ionizing radiation is an advantage
• English in writing and speaking.

Denmark citizenship is required for employment, and a valid driver's license for passenger cars is also a prerequisite.
