We are looking for an employee who has a good grasp of accounting, bookkeeping, financial follow-up, and analysis. You know how daily bookkeeping is handled, but you also know how financial data is analyzed, and not least how the results are communicated both in writing and orally, so that non-professionals can understand it.

About the position
●    Bookkeeping in IRIS and Prisme
●    Ongoing internal accounting follow-up
●    Contribute to the Self-Government's ongoing quarterly budget follow-up
●    Execution of various financial analyses
●    Communication of results, both in writing and orally
●    Participate in relevant working groups
●    Various ad hoc tasks.

It cannot be said in advance which analyses are involved, as it depends on current issues and needs. It is preferred that you are proactive and take the initiative to analyze relevant issues.

The tasks are very varied and also include follow-up on service contracts, as well as ongoing political servicing.

About you
●    Relevant education with a focus on economics or another relevant education
●    Experience from a politically governed organization or possibly a larger private company
●    Can work independently
●    Can maintain an overview in pressured situations
●    Can work with Excel at an advanced level
●    Able to engage positively and welcomingly in collaboration with colleagues and other partners
●    Knowledge of Greenlandic societal and business conditions
●    It is an advantage if you speak Greenlandic as well as Danish and preferably English.

About the Economics and Administration Department
The Economics and Administration Department is a department in the Department of Business and Minerals. In the Department of Business and Minerals, there are 45 employees, and under the department, the Consumer and Competition Authority falls.
The Economics and Administration Department collaborates broadly within the Department's areas of responsibility.

Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
