- Good, dedicated, and competent colleagues with plenty of experience in a bi-cultural and bilingual working environment, where we together ensure good care and a good working environment.
- An extraordinary Arctic nature with ample opportunities for hiking, boat trips, whale watching, village tours, nature excursions, and the most beautiful majestic mountains. Experience the purest snow and air in winter and come and have a white Christmas.
- A workplace where we help each other and collaborate to ensure that the patient receives good care, and where your efforts are of great importance.
- A position of 40 hours a week in rotating shifts, with shifts every other weekend.
We are looking for you who:
- Have experience in emergency and/or consultation areas – this is not a requirement.
- Possess good collaboration skills, are solution-oriented, and are loyal to your workplace.
- Have a desire for new adventures in the Arctic.
- Have experience in nursing, medicine, and professionally have something to offer that we can benefit from in the department.
About us:
- The regional hospital in Tasiilaq is located in the Kangia/East Greenland region, where we also have 5 associated villages. The villages have their own nursing stations, and we often receive patients for treatment from the villages. During evacuations from the five different villages, it occasionally happens that we send one of our nurses along for evacuations by helicopter to pick up patients in the village or deliver patients who need to be accompanied to the airport, which is located in an associated village.
- The hospital consists of a medical clinic/consultation, a ward with 18 beds, an operating room, an emergency room, a laboratory, a delivery room with midwifery functions, a public health nurse, porters/ambulance staff, cleaning, kitchen, laundry, TB nurse, and the town's pharmacy.
- We have about 50 employees and in addition, we have the 5 health centers in Tiilerilaaq, Sermiligaaq, Kulusuk, Kuummiut, and Isertoq.
- When the outpatient clinic closes on weekdays at 4:00 PM, the department's staff functions as emergency reception/emergency room, where the nurse, in collaboration with the on-call doctor and other staff, ensures that patients are consulted and assessed.
- We value interdisciplinary collaboration highly and often the different professional groups at the hospital socialize in their free time.
