The Technical School in Greenland in Sisimiut is seeking an Inspector for Vocational Education.

We need a skilled and committed inspector who has leadership abilities, determination, and above all, good insight into the area's education, as well as a quick adaptability. The school offers education in Carpentry – Plumbing – Painting and school internships.
 
Your main tasks and responsibilities will be:

• To coordinate schedule planning in the individual departments
• To ensure that teaching is conducted according to applicable regulations in teaching and course plans
• To evaluate and develop teaching and course plans
• To plan, implement, and develop courses in collaboration with labor market partners.
• To ensure that teachers receive further education and training
• Supervision of the educational students' schooling and attendance
• Ensure that there is a substitute in case of teacher absence and during increased workload
• Co-responsible for conducting tests and examinations

We expect that you have:

• relevant work experience – preferably supplemented with a technical education
• Experience with development, revision, updating of descriptions and education plans, both existing and new; for both offered education and courses.
• Completed relevant pedagogical training or equivalent qualifications.
• Experience with pedagogical leadership and administration.
• Experience with the billing system IRIS.
• Experience in the use of LECTIO.
• Experience from a similar position will be an advantage
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

 Teknikimik Ilinniarfik consists of EUD (Iron and Metal) in Nuuk as well as EUD (Construction and Civil Engineering), the Raw Materials School, and the Gymnasium (GUX) in Sisimiut. The school in Sisimiut is also home to an engineering education, which is operated under DTU (Artek). In addition, the school is responsible for the operation of approximately 360 student residences located in Sisimiut. The educational areas also conduct around 50 courses a year.

Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment terms, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
For an applicant with the right verifiable competencies, employment as a special consultant, chief consultant, or senior advisor can occur according to the applicable collective agreement

Housing                                                                     
Unfurnished staff housing can be assigned for the position according to the applicable rules at any time. Housing cannot be assigned to individuals who already have a staff housing or another housing owned by the municipality or the Government of Greenland. Rent and deposit are paid according to the applicable rules for the assigned housing. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.

Rent and housing standards may vary depending on the age of the housing, ownership conditions, etc. There may be waiting time for the assignment of permanent staff housing, which is why temporary accommodation may occur, including in smaller co-housing or hotel apartments, for which taxation applies. It is not possible to keep larger pets such as dogs or cats in staff or temporary housing.
