The Department of Culture, Sports and Church is looking for a committed and analytical employee who wishes to work closely with the political level and contribute to the development of the culture and sports sector, starting on November 1, 2026, or by further agreement.

Your role
You will be a key player in the work with culture and sports policy and will act as a link between the Department, cultural and sports organizations, municipalities, and other partners.
The tasks are varied, and you will have the opportunity to work both strategically, analytically, and operationally.
Your primary tasks
• Political servicing, including the preparation of decision-making proposals for the Naalakkersuisut.
• Preparation of analyses, background notes, and political decision-making bases.
• Project management and coordination of culture and sports political initiatives.
• Administration and development of grant schemes in the culture and arts sector.
• Collaboration and dialogue with cultural institutions, sports organizations, and other public actors.
• Communication of political initiatives, press releases, and other communication.
• Contribution to the development of new initiatives and strategies within the culture and sports sector.
Who are you?
We envision that you have a relevant master's degree and are motivated to work at the intersection of politics, society, and development.
The most important thing is, however, that you are curious, proactive, and thrive in a daily life where tasks and priorities can change quickly.
We would like you to:
• Have a relevant academic education at the master's level.
• Be able to analyze complex issues and translate them into clear recommendations.
• Be a strong written and oral communicator in Greenlandic, Danish, and English.
• Work independently and take responsibility for your own tasks.
• Have good collaboration skills and can build relationships across organizations.
• Have an understanding of or interest in the culture, leisure, and sports sector.
• Have experience from a politically governed organization, public administration, or the private sector. This is an advantage but not a requirement.
• Thrive in an environment with often short deadlines and many stakeholders.

Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
For an applicant with the right verifiable competencies, employment may occur as a special consultant, chief consultant, or senior advisor in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
