Operations Consultant

At Nukissiorfiit, we are in the process of a technological transition, where solar, wind, hydropower, and batteries are increasingly filling the energy supply. Our cities and settlements, with 70 separate electricity grids, are still dependent on diesel generators for both primary production and backup supply. As an operations consultant for hybrid electricity production, you will leave your mark on the entire development and have diesel-based electricity production with tank facilities and battery banks as your professional core area.

We therefore need you, who with your experience and professional insight can help elevate the entire company. Therefore, it is crucial that you have good communication skills so that everyone can benefit from your competencies.

Your main tasks are

• Consultation with the team leaders in operations on the coast regarding current issues
• Developing standards for operation and maintenance in collaboration with professional committees and maintenance managers, including reinvestment and maintenance plans
• Technical quality assurance of documentation related to construction projects
• Ensuring technological development within Nukissiorfiit's electricity production

Depending on your job experience, educational background, and interests, you have the opportunity to influence the job content of the position. The position is versatile in that you need to keep an eye on operations but also be able to contribute to strategic development.

What can you expect?

The production support department at the Head Office in Nuuk supports all of Greenland. You will become part of the technical team, which besides you consists of operations consultants for, among others, renewable energy, hydropower, heating, electricity distribution, and Sertica, as well as students.

We are looking for you who

• Has experience and in-depth knowledge of electricity-producing diesel plants, e.g., from previous employment as a sailing engineer.
• Has good knowledge of SRO and SCADA systems
• Has experience with closed electricity supply systems in island operations
• Has knowledge of hybrid systems with several different production units
• Has good communication skills
• Has experience with data collection and analysis
• Has a higher technical education (engineering, mechanical engineer, etc.)

The position is a coordinating function, which is why it is important that you enjoy having many tasks without losing overview. Additionally, it is an advantage, but not a requirement, that you are bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish.

Employment conditions

Salary and employment according to relevant and applicable collective agreement. There is a 3-month probation period.

Employment will take place as soon as possible, but we hope you can start on 1/11-2026 or 1/12-2026.
