We have a vacant position as a nurse in the consultation at the Regional Hospital in Sisimiut starting from October 21, 2026, or by agreement.

The position is primarily located in day shifts in the consultation, where you will have a special area of responsibility within the care and follow-up of cancer patients. In addition, you will be involved in the work in the ward with weekend duty every 3rd weekend in 3 shift rotations.

About the position

The consultation includes both medical and nursing consultations as well as emergency room functions for all of Sisimiut. As a nurse, you will have a varied workday with both acute and planned patient courses.

You will among other things:

  • Conduct independent nursing consultations
  • Participate in the triage of acute and outpatient inquiries
  • Receive and assess patients in collaboration with doctors and other nursing staff
  • Assist doctors with minor surgical procedures
  • Handle medication delivery and other nursing-related tasks
  • Have a special professional responsibility for cancer patients, including coordination, follow-up, and support throughout the patient journey
  • Contribute to continuity and coherence in cancer patients' courses across consultation, ward, and other relevant partners
  • Participate in the work in the ward with weekend duty every 3rd weekend
  • Engage in other on-call tasks as needed and by agreement

Area of responsibility: Cancer patients

As part of the position, you will have the opportunity to develop and manage a special area of responsibility for cancer patients.

You will help ensure that patients experience safety, continuity, and coherence in their courses. Tasks may include coordinating appointments, following up on treatment, as well as providing support and guidance to the patient and their relatives.

You will of course have the opportunity for close collaboration with colleagues and relevant professional groups, and there will be a focus on developing the area in line with your competencies and experiences.

  • Have broad nursing knowledge and preferably experience from several areas
  • Have an interest in or experience with cancer patients and complex patient courses

  • Have good collaboration skills and contribute positively to interdisciplinary cooperation
  • Are flexible and thrive with a varied workday
  • Want to help develop and strengthen nursing for cancer patients in Sisimiut

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
