Aasiaat -Meeraaqqerivik Tikiusaaq is looking for a Social Educator or someone with equivalent education

The Municipality of Qeqertalik, Aasiaat, is looking for 1 social educator or someone with equivalent education for commencement on October 1, 2026, or by further agreement, at the daycare Tikiusaaq for ages 0-3 years. At the daycare Tikiusaaq, there are four rooms.

General for Daycare Tikiusaaq:

·The position is a full-time position, 40 hours a week.

·Administration for Daycare Tikiusaaq falls under INUIT.

Applicant's qualifications:

·Be responsible, have an overview and the ability to empathize and adapt.

·Be able to handle stressful situations, be flexible, cooperative, welcoming, and stable.

·Good physical and mental health and an open and cheerful demeanor.

·Be prepared to work based on the daycare's objectives and action plans.

Salary and employment conditions:

·Salary and employment conditions will be in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

·Employment is subject to a satisfactory criminal record and child certificate, which will be obtained by the employer from the National Police with the consent of the applicant who is recommended for employment.

There is no housing available

Criminal and child certificate:

This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal and child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon when the municipality has received the child certificate from the national police, as well as the criminal record from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the Police.
