Do you want to help create even better education in Greenland? Can you translate political wishes and strategy into development and action? Then you might be the one we need with us in the Department of Education, Culture, Sports and Church. We are looking for a new colleague who will be responsible for the development and processing in the GUX area, but just as much will contribute to new development in teaching at all educational levels, for example in the AI area, in evaluation and much more.

Job content
There is a strong focus on the development of especially youth education in Greenland, so that it can meet the needs of society in the coming years. The position will therefore include many different and varied tasks – you will become one of those responsible for the GUX area, and you will also participate in and later be responsible for development and data collection tasks in all youth education, as our work is based on these cornerstones 

Main responsibilities will include

• Handle tasks related to the GUX area in general, including approval of study regulations, supervisory tasks and case processing 
• Participate in and be responsible for development tasks in AI, evaluation, teaching and 
• Political servicing, such as drafting notes, reports, statements, commissions, speeches and press releases as well as answering §37 questions from politicians regarding the area (Questions that Inatsisartut can ask Naalakkersuisut)
• Participation in meetings among others in commissions, committees, working groups and councils nationally as well as internationally
• Participation in cross-cutting development projects with other departments and stakeholders
• Ensure work in relation to Naalakkersuisut/Naalakkersuisut / Inatsisartut
• Other Ad hoc tasks in the education sector

If you also have an interest in/knowledge of international cooperation, for example in the EU or the Nordic countries, it will only be an advantage. 

Your personal qualifications
We are looking for an AC officer or special consultant who is professionally skilled and engaged, independently thinking and has the ability and desire to participate in independent, collaborative teams, in a department that values development highly. We are looking for you who takes pride in delivering solid professional craftsmanship, and who approaches your tasks in a structured manner. Tasks that range broadly from administration and operations to development and political servicing.

We therefore prefer that

• You have a relevant higher education at the master's level, preferably in pedagogy, development or evaluation.
• You have experience from a similar position preferably within the high school area or from a position in the education sector.
• You have an overview and can work under time pressure.
• You have good knowledge of Greenlandic society
• You are multilingual
• You have an overview and can maintain an overview in a complex process
• You have an interest in working with youth education, especially the high school level

About the Department and the Education Division
The Department of Education, Culture, Sports and Church's tasks are wide-ranging – from servicing Naalakkersuisut to overall management of the sector. Overall, the sector works to raise the educational level of society and strengthen culture. The department has about 30 employees, of which 10 are employed in the education division

Salary and employment conditions
This is a position with employment as an AC Officer. A candidate with the right competencies and sufficient experience can be employed as a Special Consultant. Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

No housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to assigned housing is retained. The housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
