Qasigiannguit - The Elderly Home is looking for a social helper / Social Assistant

The Municipality of Qeqertalik - Qasigiannguit is looking for a social helper for the elderly home Qeersaat Illuat dementia/care section with permanent employment starting on October 1 or by further agreement. The position is 40 hours per week with changing shifts, and one should expect weekend shifts every 2 weeks. There are 10 residents in the dementia section and about 12 staff members.

Work and responsibilities:

·Work in accordance with the rules and objectives of the residential institution.

·To be jointly responsible for creating action plans for the residents in a safe and responsible manner.

·Collaborate with therapy staff and create plans based on the residents' needs.

·Collaboration between different teams and departments.

·Collaboration and contact with relatives.

·Miscellaneous work and prioritization in relation to tasks.

·Home guard arrangement

Competencies:

·Social helper/social assistant education.

·Experience working with dementia

·Responsibility.

·Overview.

·Ability to engage and adapt.

·Willing to collaborate.

·Humble and stable.

·Physically and mentally healthy as well as outgoing and cheerful.

·Be jointly responsible for development in personal competence and workplace

·Home guard

The social helper's immediate supervisor is the department head in the Qeersaat Illuat dementia section.

Salary - employment:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Naalakkersuisut and the negotiating organization at the time of commencement.

No housing can be provided.

Criminal record:

This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We must therefore emphasize that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.
