Greenlandic teacher

GUX v./ Campus Kujalleq in Qaqortoq is looking for 1 teacher for the subject Greenlandic
 
With a start date of November 1, 2026, or as soon as possible, we are looking for 1 dedicated teacher in the subject Greenlandic for our upper secondary education, where you will have the opportunity to be part of an exciting everyday life at a dynamic school.
You must be able to teach and examine at all grades and levels in the subject.
 
We expect:

• That you, as a starting point, have a degree at the master's level or equivalent, or that you are willing to upgrade your qualifications according to the applicable legislation in the area.

• That you actively participate in the school's pedagogical development work with colleagues and also manage to meet the students where they are with a supportive approach.

• That you, if possible, have teaching experience, which is not a requirement.

Knowledge of the upper secondary area will be an advantage. Applicants are therefore requested to attach/upload documentation of education and experience along with the application itself.

Salary and employment conditions
Salary - and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and departure travel and moving expenses, according to the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
For an applicant with the right documentable competencies, employment may occur as a special consultant, chief consultant, or senior advisor according to the applicable collective agreement.

Housing                                                                     
An unfurnished staff housing may be assigned to the position according to the rules in force at any time. Housing cannot be assigned to individuals who already have staff housing or another residence owned by the municipality or the Government of Greenland. Rent and deposit are paid according to the rules in force for the assigned housing. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.

Rent and housing standards may vary depending on the age of the housing, ownership conditions, etc. There may be waiting time for the assignment of permanent staff housing, which is why temporary accommodation may occur, including in smaller co-housing or hotel apartments, for which taxation occurs. It is not possible to keep larger pets such as dogs or cats in staff or temporary housing.
