Greenlandic teacher

GUX v./ Campus Kujalleq in Qaqortoq is looking for 1 teacher for the subject of Greenlandic
 
With commencement on November 1, 2026, or as soon as possible, we are seeking 1 dedicated teacher for the subject of Greenlandic for our upper secondary education, where you will have the opportunity to engage in an exciting everyday life at a dynamic school.
You must be able to teach and examine at all grades and levels in the subject.
 
We expect:

• That you, as a starting point, have a degree at the master's level or equivalent, or that you are willing to upgrade your qualifications according to the applicable legislation in the area.
• That you are actively participating in the school's pedagogical development work with colleagues and also manage to meet the students where they are with a recognizing approach.
• That you, if possible, have teaching experience, which is not a requirement.

Knowledge of the upper secondary area will be an advantage. Applicants are therefore requested to attach/upload documentation for education and experience along with the application itself.

Salary and employment conditions
Salary - and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
For an applicant with the right documentable competencies, employment may occur as a special consultant, chief consultant, or senior advisor in accordance with the applicable collective agreement

Housing                                                                     
An unfurnished staff housing can be assigned to the position according to the rules in force at any time. Housing cannot be assigned to individuals who already have staff housing or another property owned by the municipality or the Government of Greenland. Rent and deposit are paid according to the rules in force for the assigned housing. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.

Rent and housing standards may vary depending on the age of the property, ownership conditions, etc. There may be a waiting period for the assignment of permanent staff housing, which is why temporary accommodation may occur, including in smaller co-housing communities or hotel apartments, for which taxation applies. It is not possible to keep larger pets such as dogs or cats in staff or temporary housing.
