We are looking for colleagues who wish to have a good life in a town with great opportunities to be outdoors and with plenty of good activities in Sisimiut. We are looking for a total of 4 teachers.

We are seeking committed teachers for Minngortuunnguup Atuarfia. MA is currently exploring new ways to plan and will develop the school day to be best for the student. The teacher we are looking for must have the courage to engage in a school in development and have an interest in teaching children by meeting them as they are and working with the students' special needs. We are in the midst of a generational shift and have a teaching staff of experienced and new teachers who teach each other skills to create a good school.

Our students make good use of the school's facilities as well as the nature in the surrounding area, go on excursions in nature, work on projects, and similar activities. Therefore, we are looking for 2 teachers to take care of the teaching, and it is part of the task to guide the students to the final exams for students with special needs. We work together and seek development in collaboration.

We are looking for 2 language teachers for the senior level who can teach the subjects Greenlandic, Danish, and English, as well as cultural subjects and physical education and creative subjects. The senior level students are prepared for final exams.

1 teacher for the junior level, who can teach Danish, English, and mathematics with good teaching didactics is sought. Collaboration in grade teams should be expected.

We are looking for teachers who can teach in Greenlandic, Danish, mathematics, physical education, and cultural subjects. Experience in project-based learning will be beneficial. We are looking for 1 teacher for the middle level, who can take care of teaching in Danish, English, and mathematics as well as in cultural subjects. Good skills in project work will help.

Minngortuunnguup Atuarfia is staffed for 56 teachers and has approximately 400 students, 20 classes ranging from 1st to 10th grade and 8 special classes, 10 groups in the multi-department.

Expected duties of the teacher:

• Planning and execution of teaching

· Collaboration in teacher teams

· Is open to new teaching methods in collaboration with colleagues

· Is willing to learn to work and teach with iPad

• Evaluation must be based on the student's own action plan, which the teacher prepares

• Ongoing evaluation of the annual plans and each student's benefit from the teaching

· Participate in the development of staff and the school

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to free travel and relocation, are in accordance with the applicable agreements and collective agreements between the Naalakkersuisut and the teacher organization IMAK. Employment is primarily based on collective agreement terms.
