We are looking for a healthcare assistant for Narsaq, who can start on December 1, 2026, or by agreement. The position involves diverse work with both outpatient and inpatient patients in collaboration with a small team at the health center.

We are looking for a health assistant who can come to Narsaq by December 1, 2026, or by agreement.

Narsaq is located in South Greenland with 3 associated villages. The population is about 1500, including the 2 surrounding villages.

The health center's tasks primarily consist of consultations for the town and its village residents. However, there is also a ward with 13 beds with a mixed patient clientele.

As a health assistant, you will need to work very diversely with both outpatient/emergency inquiries as well as with the hospitalized patients in collaboration with the other staff.

At the health center, in addition to one doctor, there is the head nurse, 3 nurses, 1 health care assistant, 5 health assistants, as well as 4 unskilled workers and 2 porters.

Desired qualifications:

  • Has experience from emergency room work and is aware of their own area of competence
  • Is willing to be trained in, for example, blood sampling/x-ray
  • At least a couple of years of experience

Housing will be provided according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic healthcare system at any given time.

Salary and employment

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional on a valid residence and work permit. Residence and work permits can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
