By agreement Full-time On-site 22 Aug 2026 Deadline: 20 Sep 2026

The Consumer and Competition Authority is seeking an academic employee for a full-time position, where you will work on socially important issues. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic environment focused on collaboration and professionalism.

Do you want a meaningful job where you have the opportunity to work on various socially important issues – and where no two days necessarily look alike?

At the Consumer and Competition Authority, you will have the opportunity to become part of a small, professionally strong workplace with lawyers, economists, and other academics, where we work for high legal security, societal benefit, and development.

We manage 12 different areas of expertise, which means that our tasks are diverse. Therefore, you do not need to come with a complete toolbox – what matters most is that you are curious, engaged, and eager to delve into new areas.

You will have the opportunity to work broadly

As an academic employee, you will have the opportunity to work on different types of tasks depending on your skills and interests.

You may, among other things, get to work with:

  • Case processing and professional assessments of specific issues
  • Analysis and investigation work, including collecting, assessing, and structuring information and data
  • Preparation of notes, reports, decision proposals, reports, regulations, and guidelines
  • Cross-cutting projects and collaboration with colleagues, authorities, organizations, and other stakeholders

We do not expect you to know everything from day one. Instead, we expect you to be curious and eager to learn about new areas. You should be able to thrive in a varied everyday life where tasks can change along the way, and where you have the opportunity to continuously develop your skills.

A workplace with high ceilings

We are a small organization, which means that you will be close to both colleagues, areas of expertise, and management. There is a short distance from idea to action, and you will have good opportunities to influence both your own tasks and the development of the authority.

We also place great emphasis on making it pleasant to go to work. Good camaraderie, humor, and helpfulness are an important part of our everyday life. Therefore, you should thrive in a workplace where people help each other, where tasks can change along the way, and where sometimes you are thrown into something you did not expect to work with.

Your profile

You have a relevant master's degree, for example in social sciences, law, economics, or another relevant field. You work in a structured and analytical manner and have the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new issues. You can work independently and take responsibility for your tasks while thriving in an environment where collaboration across disciplines is a natural part of everyday life.

You are curious, engaged, and not afraid to ask questions or dive into new tasks. You are eager to work broadly and flexibly and thrive with the fact that the workday can present different types of tasks and issues.

If you have experience with case processing, authority work, or legal issues, it is an advantage, but it is not a requirement. We are also open to those who are newly graduated and eager to develop with us.

If you want to work in a small organization where you have the opportunity to tackle many different tasks, and where professionalism and good camaraderie go hand in hand, we would love to hear from you.

What do our colleagues say about the workplace?

"The best thing about working here is that you never quite know what the day will bring – and that you can always ask a colleague for help."

"There is a high ceiling, and you get to try your hand at things you may not necessarily have experience with beforehand."

"There is a focus on professional development, and you have good opportunities to develop your skills and take on more responsibility. You are challenged professionally, but you always have the opportunity for sparring and support from your colleagues."

Salary and employment conditions

There is the possibility of employment as an assistant or special consultant depending on your experience, and the start date will be agreed upon.

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the applicable agreement/collective agreement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization at the time of commencement.

Housing

No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
