Health and Social Assistant

Neriuffiit Kattuffiat is looking for a health and social assistant to start as soon as possible or by agreement.

Are you interested in helping people affected by cancer, as well as their relatives, and do you wish to work on improving people's quality of life? Are you committed to your work, empathetic, and able to meet people with respect and presence? Then you might be the one we are looking for.

Your tasks

As a health and social assistant / or have an equivalent education at Neriuffiit Kattuffiat, you will play an important role in supporting cancer patients and their relatives.

Your tasks will include:

• Care and support for cancer patients

• Assistance with daily tasks as needed

• Conversations with patients and relatives and creating safe meetings

• Contact and collaboration with relevant professionals and agencies

• To support the patient in achieving the best possible everyday life and quality of life

We are looking for you who

• Is a trained health and social assistant or has an equivalent education

• Is caring, empathetic, and responsible

• Can work independently and at the same time be part of a team

• Has good communication skills

• Can meet people in difficult life situations with understanding

• Has an interest in the cancer field and working with patients and relatives

• Can speak Greenlandic and Danish

Working hours

Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. However, activities may occur outside the mentioned working hours.

The position offers a unique opportunity to be involved from the start in establishing, developing, and shaping the new house.
