The aldersintegrated institution Pingajeqqad has space for 88 children aged 0 – 6 years, distributed across 6 rooms. The institution is located in Tasiilaq and consists of a staff team of 22 employees, including the manager.

Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

It is expected that you, in close collaboration with the manager, focus on achieving this goal.

We expect you to:

·Be a trained educator

·Possess good collaboration skills and be professionally competent

·Adhere to and follow up on the law on pedagogical development offers for preschool children, in addition to working based on political strategies and goals

·Have the necessary overview

·Be flexible and stable

·Be responsive to children, staff, and parents

·See opportunities rather than obstacles both with children and staff

·Have the ability to guide and advise the staff in the pedagogical work with children

·Understand how to utilize the staff's differences

·Be a visible and present deputy manager

·Have knowledge of operating IT/computer

·Be able to participate in the administrative and financial management work.

·Daily close collaboration with the manager

∙Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement

Criminal and Child Certificate:

The position is covered by the law requiring the collection of criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police as well as the criminal certificate from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

No staff housing can be provided for the position.
