The Ministry of Finance and Personnel is seeking a personnel consultant to work with personnel matters, including employment contracts and advisory services. The position is full-time with a start date of November 1, 2026. We offer an engaged work environment and opportunities for professional development.

We are expanding our team - Would you like to be part of our team, where we service the central administration and underlying units? We are a good team consisting of personnel consultants and lawyers covering the personnel administrative area within both the central administration and the health sector. We are now looking for 1 personnel consultant with a preliminary placement in the team that works with the Central Administration, starting on November 1, 2026, or by further agreement.  
 

We work with the processing of personnel cases, where we, among other things, prepare employment contracts for the entire Government of Greenland, the underlying units, and the Health Service. In addition, we advise and guide the leaders on collective agreements and contracts.

The Office for Personnel & Law consists of 13 personnel consultants, 3 personnel lawyers, and 2 office managers.

Your primary tasks
We are looking for a personnel consultant who will work broadly within the department's task management. The department is currently under development, where we are working to create greater dynamics between those working in the health sector and those working in the other central administrative area. Therefore, there is an opportunity in the position to also leave your mark and help develop the workflows in the team.

The primary tasks will be:

  • Personnel case processing in relation to employment, including particularly the preparation of employment contracts and various writings
  • Input of salaries, allowances, and terminations
  • Case processing of civil servant pensions
  • Advice and interpretation within civil servant legislation and other rules within the employment law area
  • Interpretation of collective agreements


In addition, you may work on the preparation of guidelines, forms, and publication of materials.

If you have an interest in and an eye for streamlining workflows, processes, etc., this will particularly also be an advantage.

We are looking for colleagues who have:

  • A degree as a bachelor, professional bachelor, or are office trained
  • Experience from similar positions is an advantage, but you can also be newly graduated
  • Good at collaborating, sparring, and sharing your knowledge with colleagues
  • Not afraid to take on a challenge and follow it through
  • Good oral and written communication skills at a high level
  • It is an advantage if you have good numerical understanding and understanding of legal/economic risks
  • It is an advantage if you have knowledge of Greenlandic societal conditions and culture, and it will be a clear advantage if you master the Greenlandic language
  • Diplomatic, service-minded, and friendly by nature

About the Department of Finance and Personnel
The Department of Finance and Personnel, commonly referred to as ASA, is a shared service unit for the Government of Greenland. ASA is responsible for the Government's accounting, strategic procurement, collective agreements, salary and personnel matters, interpreting functions, as well as building operations and maintenance.


Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in effect at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Housing 
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Government, the right to assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
