Inussuk A/S is looking for a plumbing engineer/installer, Pituffik Space Base.

On behalf of Inussuk A/S, which maintains Pituffik Space Base, our subcontractor V2X A/S is looking for a HVAC engineer/installer.

This is a permanent position with employment and departure as soon as possible.

Work is done according to both Danish and American standards and regulations.

Responsibilities and tasks

• Responsible for budgeting, design, and planning of tasks primarily within HVAC and ventilation. The base is facing major changes in heating systems.
• Preparation of work descriptions, drawing materials, and material lists for use by the craftsmen in the execution of projects.
• Make technical decisions in connection with projects within the overall financial framework.
• Contribute to base standardization within the field.
• Responsible for annual corrosion and flushing documentation.
• Inspection and condition assessment of technical installations.
• Keep Base Civil Engineering informed about deviations from the contract with the US Space Force.
• Contact with the customer US Space Force regarding projects, etc., as needed.
• Establish and maintain procedures and manuals within the field.

Education and background

• Construction technical education and background as either HVAC engineer, HVAC installer, mechanical engineer.
• Preferably experience from the consulting industry.
• Experience and insight into heat-producing systems and heating systems is an advantage.
• Experience with ventilation work is an advantage.
• It is an advantage to have a broad professional/practical insight into construction work.
• Experienced user of MS Office (Word and Excel as a minimum).
• User of MS Project and AutoCad and Adobe Acrobat.
• Familiarity with American standards is an advantage but not a requirement.
• Good English skills in writing and speaking.
• Valid driver's license for passenger cars is a requirement.

Danish citizenship is a prerequisite & security clearance to be able to be employed at the base, as well.
