Health Assistant for the Elderly Home Unganartoq in Ilulissat
The Elderly Home Unganartoq in Ilulissat in Avannaata Municipality is seeking a Health Assistant with employment starting from September 1, 2026.
The Health Assistant's immediate supervisor is the manager of the elderly home Unganartoq.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure that the management of the elderly home is informed and kept updated regarding all relevant matters concerning the department.
• Ensure that solutions are proposed for issues arising in the department. Continuously inform the management of the elderly home about interactions with residents in the department and their closest relatives, especially concerning the residents' well-being. Continuously inform about the content of meetings held with employees in the department and ensure that feedback from the management of the elderly home is communicated to the employees in the department.
• Continuously inform about the most important issues concerning funds and pocket money belonging to the residents of the department and explain how these issues have been addressed.
• Continuously inform about all complaints regarding care, nursing, and activities in the department and ensure that these are addressed as quickly as possible in collaboration with the management of the elderly home.
Qualifications:
• Health-related education.
• Possibly theoretical management education.
• Experience from work in the elderly or disability sector.
• Possibly management experience.
Salary and employment conditions:Salary and employment conditions will be according to the applicable collective agreement with the currently relevant negotiating trade union.
No staff housing is provided for the position.
Employment is subject to a satisfactory criminal record and child certificate.
