Deputy Chef for Meeqqerivik Ikinnguteeqqat Uummannaq
The daycare institution Ikinnguteeqqat in Uummannaq is looking for a Deputy Chef for employment on September 1, 2026, or by further agreement.
The Deputy Chef's immediate supervisor will be the leader in Meeqqerivik Ikinnguteeqqat.
Tasks and responsibilities:
• Work based on the political objectives for the children and youth area in Avannaata Municipality
• Quality enhancement of the staff's professional and personal competencies through internal and external theme days, professional activities, and courses
• Introduce new pedagogical working methods
• Ensure a safe and secure daycare institution for children, parents, and staff
• Develop an information brochure about the daycare institution
• Work purposefully with new ideas and policies
• Daily close collaboration with the leader
Qualities:
• Educated pedagogue
• Experience with personnel management and administration in a daycare institution
• Be responsible, have an overview, and the ability to empathize and adapt.
• Be able to handle stressful situations and be flexible, cooperative, welcoming, and stable
• Physically and mentally good health, and an open and cheerful demeanor
• Be prepared to work based on the daycare institution's objectives and action plans
Salary and employment conditions:
Employment is in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between Naalakkersuisut and Nunatsinni Perorsaasut Kattuffiat
No housing is provided for the position.
Employment is subject to a satisfactory child certificate and public criminal record, obtained from the National Police with the applicant's consent.
