We are looking for 1 teacher for the school's Level 1 (1st to 3rd grade).

We are looking for a number of teachers / hourly teachers for the school's Special Classes (1st-10th grade).

Nalunnguarfiup Atuarfia in Sisimiut is seeking dedicated teachers and hourly teachers – as well as support teachers for special education.

 About Sisimiut:

Sisimiut is beautifully located between mountains and sea – about 320 km north of Nuuk – and is Greenland's second-largest city with around 5,500 inhabitants.

The city is known for its active leisure culture, beautiful nature, and friendly local community. Here you can ski in the winter, sail or hike in the mountains in the summer – or participate in the city's many cultural activities.

There are good facilities such as sports halls, swimming pools, fitness centers, music schools, youth clubs, art and culture houses, as well as plenty of opportunities for outdoor life year-round.

Sisimiut also has an airport, shops, cafes, and good transport options to the rest of Greenland.

Employment:

September 1, 2026, or by agreement.

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to free travel and relocation of personal belongings, are in accordance with the agreements and collective agreements in force between Naalakkersuisut and the teachers' organization IMAK. Employment is primarily based on collective agreement terms.

For applicants who are already employed as Greenlandic civil servants, employment as a teacher can take place as a civil servant. Employment as a civil servant will be in accordance with the Landsting Act No. 21 of December 18, 2003, on the civil servants of the Greenland Self-Government and Municipalities in Greenland.
