We are looking for nurses for the Regional Hospital Qaqortoq for winter 2026

The Regional Hospital Qaqortoq is looking for committed and flexible nurses for the ward and outpatient clinic.

We need nurses for temporary positions in the ward and outpatient clinic from November 1, 2026.

We can offer temporary positions lasting 3-6 months.

In the outpatient clinic, one must work with telephone triage, nursing consultations, and have the emergency room function.

At the same time, there are medical consultations, where there is close collaboration with the doctors.

In the ward, you are responsible with colleagues for planning and providing nursing care for hospitalized patients, but in the evenings and on weekends, you participate in triaging the city's citizens as well as emergency room work, so you can expect to work with both hospitalized and outpatient patients, where your professional background is important.

The nurses have both day and evening shifts. Very rarely night shifts, as it is the health assistants who have them. Weekend work every other weekend. On-call shifts from home, where you are available about 4-6 times a month.

If you have a diploma, master's, or degree, there can be compensation for this according to the agreement.

The Regional Hospital in Qaqortoq has room for 21 patients. We receive admissions from the city's citizens and from the region's settlements.

You will be part of a regional hospital, and you can expect a workday with a lot of responsibility as we receive all types of patient categories from newborns to the elderly. Where we value interdisciplinary collaboration highly.

The working time norm in Greenland is 40 hours weekly.

Attached to the regional hospital are 7 settlements, from which the regional hospital also receives patients.

We offer:

  • Good introduction to a broad professional spectrum
  • A daily routine with diverse tasks
  • Good opportunity to work with the entire patient's situation
  • A small hospital with good interdisciplinary collaboration, where we help each other.
  • Work in a place where the working language is Danish, but the culture is different

We are looking for you who:

  • Are a trained nurse
  • Enjoy working diversely and independently
  • Can maintain an overview in pressured situations
  • Like new challenges and take them with a good attitude

About us:

  • A regional hospital that values interdisciplinary work.
  • We are good at welcoming new colleagues even if they are hired in another function.
  • A regional hospital with many functional areas. We are about 60 employees
