Nanortalik Health Center is looking for an engaged nurse who wishes to become part of a small, dedicated team with high professionalism, close collaboration, and a workday where no two days are the same.

We are flexible in the employment form and offer both temporary positions of 3–6 months duration as well as the possibility of permanent employment.

About the position

As a nurse in Nanortalik, you will be part of a health center with a broad portfolio of tasks and great professional variation.

The tasks include, among others:

  • Visitation and consultations for citizens from the town and the surrounding settlements
  • Emergency room function
  • Reception and assessment of patients
  • Caring for hospitalized patients

The health center has room for 10 hospitalized patients, and the work spans widely across patient groups and clinical issues.

You will be part of a smaller interdisciplinary team consisting of nurses and health assistants, where collaboration, flexibility, and professional independence are central competencies.

At times, medical support is provided via telemedicine in close collaboration with doctors in Nuuk and the regional hospital in Qaqortoq.

We are looking for you who

  • Has authorization as a nurse
  • Preferably has clinical experience
  • Has acute nursing competencies or a desire to develop these
  • Thrives with a broad and varied portfolio of tasks
  • Can work independently and maintain an overview in a busy workday
  • Has good collaboration skills and contributes positively to the work environment
  • Is flexible, proactive, and curious about new professional challenges
  • Has IT skills at user level

If you have a relevant diploma, master's, or graduate degree, this can be compensated according to the applicable agreement.

About Nanortalik

Nanortalik is Greenland's southernmost town with approximately 1,100 inhabitants and 3 associated settlements. Nanortalik is located on an island that can be reached by helicopter or boat.

Housing

Housing will be provided according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic Health Service at any given time.

Salary and employment

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving and relocation of belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Citizenship

If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is contingent upon a valid residence and work permit. A residence and work permit can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
