Nurse for Paamiut
Do you want to see lots of eagles? Are you into hiking in beautiful surroundings? Or just sitting in a sunny spot?
We are looking for a nurse from mid-September 26 for 2-3 months.
We continuously need nurses, so if you can only start later in the year or in 2027, we can work that out too.
Paamiut has about 1250 inhabitants. The health center employs 4 nurses, 1 health assistant, 2 medical students, 1 physiotherapist, health aides, interpreters, porters, and cleaning staff.
Queen Margrethe's Health Center is part of the Health Region Sermersooq, where Queen Ingrid's Health Center in Nuuk is the largest. We have daily telemedicine contact with a doctor in Nuuk and a doctor physically present from Nuuk about every 4 weeks.
The health center's task is to promote health, prevention, examination, and treatment. Some tasks are handled by support staff who are specially trained in, for example, X-rays, planned blood tests, etc. As a nurse, you will handle consultation and emergency room work, as well as work with hospitalized patients in the ward and pharmacy functions.
As a nurse in Paamiut, you have 7-10 night shifts/month, where you are on call from home from 4:00 PM to 8:00 AM. We have employed 2 medical students who take turns having day shifts on weekends, so the on-call nurse has a better opportunity for rest.
There are good, engaged colleagues. And it is a varied and very exciting job with great opportunities for development - both personally and professionally.
We are looking for nurses who:
