Health Assistant FOR PAAMIUT – maybe it is YOU!
A position as a health assistant at Dr. Margrethe's Health Center in Paamiut is available for occupancy from August 15, 2026, or by agreement.
Paamiut has about 1200 inhabitants. The health center employs 1 doctor, 3 nurses, 1 health assistant, 1 physiotherapist, 2 medical students, health aides, interpreters, porters, and cleaning staff.
Queen Margrethe's Health Center is part of the Health Region Sermersooq, where Queen Ingrid's Health Center in Nuuk is the largest.
The health center's task is to promote health, prevention, examination, and treatment. Some tasks are handled by support staff who are specially trained in e.g. X-ray, planned blood tests, etc. As a nurse, one handles consultation and emergency room work, as well as work with hospitalized patients in the ward and pharmacy functions. There is no elective surgery on-site, but minor procedures are performed. There is full equipment for emergency surgery if the weather should prevent an evacuation.

About Paamiut
Paamiut is a southern Greenlandic town with about 1200 people.
The area is characterized by magnificent nature and offers opportunities for hiking and sailing. In the area around Paamiut, you will have opportunities to see seals, whales, reindeer, and sea eagles.

Housing
Housing will be provided according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic Health Service at any given time.
Salary and employment
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Citizenship
If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional on a valid residence and work permit. Residence and work permits can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
