The Department of Housing, Infrastructure, Remote Districts, and Emergency Management is seeking an economic case handler for the Housing and Property area

Do you want to work with housing finance, loan administration, and economic tasks in an area that is of great importance to citizens?

The Department of Housing, Infrastructure, Remote Districts, and Emergency Management is looking for a structured and responsible employee for the Housing and Property area. The position is particularly focused on the administration of public housing finance loans, economic statements, early repayments, reconciliations, and follow-up on specific loan cases.

The Housing and Property area handles tasks within housing and property, including housing finance, real estate, buying and selling of assets, legislation, citizen inquiries, and political-administrative servicing.

About the position

As an economic case handler, you will have a central role in the administration of public housing finance loans. You will work with specific cases, economic information, loan statements, reconciliations, payments, early repayments, and citizen inquiries.

The position requires economic understanding, systematic approach, precision, and the ability to work with both numbers, documentation, rules, and specific case processes. You will have contact with citizens, banks, financial institutions, lawyers, municipalities, real estate agents, and other authorities.

A significant part of the work will involve ensuring correct registration, bookkeeping, and reconciliation of loan information, including reconciliations in IRIS and with the bank. You will also contribute to follow-up on older and ongoing loan cases as well as to the development of more uniform workflows in the area.

Your tasks

Your tasks will include:

  • case processing and administration of public housing finance loans

  • handling inquiries about housing finance, loan administration, and early repayment

  • guiding citizens, banks, financial institutions, lawyers, municipalities, and other authorities

  • preparing decisions, response letters, guidance letters, notes, and case presentations

  • calculating and following up on outstanding debt, repayments, payments, interest, and economic terms

  • bookkeeping, payments, and economic registration of loan cases

  • reconciliations in IRIS and with the bank, including follow-up on discrepancies

  • journalizing, registering, archiving, and quality assurance of documentation

  • case processing and economic follow-up on the sale of BSU houses, including collaboration with real estate agents

  • contributing to internal workflows, standard letters, guidelines, digitization, and uniform practices

  • substitute function in connection with the buying and selling of assets as needed

About you

We envision that you have a relevant educational background in economics, finance, administration, or similar. This could be, for example, a diploma in economic and resource management, a bachelor's degree in business economics, a finance education, or another relevant education combined with practical experience.

The position may also be relevant for you if you have experience from the banking or finance sector, especially if you have worked with loans, repayments, outstanding debt, repayments, loan statements, reconciliations, customer dialogue, or documentation.

We emphasize that you:

  • have economic understanding and can work confidently with numbers, statements, and documentation

  • have experience with or interest in loan administration, repayments, and economic case processing

  • can work structured, independently, and responsibly

  • have good written communication skills and can guide citizens and partners clearly

  • can handle economic and personal information confidentially and correctly

  • can work in Excel and preferably have experience with IRIS, XAL, cBrain F2, or similar systems

  • guiding citizens, banks, financial institutions, lawyers, municipalities, and other authorities

  • have an interest in the housing sector and public housing finance schemes

Knowledge of public administration, journalizing, and administrative law principles is an advantage but not a requirement.

It would also be an advantage if you can communicate in both Greenlandic and Danish.

We offer

We offer a position with independent and socially relevant tasks in the housing area. You will be part of the Housing and Property area, where we work with housing policy, housing finance, real estate, legislation, and servicing of citizens, authorities, and political leadership.

You will have the opportunity to work with specific cases, economic statements, citizen guidance, reconciliations, loan administration, and the development of more uniform workflows in an area of great importance to citizens.

The work takes place in a professional environment with varying tasks, short decision-making paths, and close collaboration with colleagues in the office.
