Internship Coordinator for KTI - Iron & Metal in Nuuk

Then you might be the internship coordinators we are looking for at KTI in Nuuk.

As an internship coordinator, you will be a central part of the work to create good and coherent internship processes for students in our vocational education programs.

Your tasks

You will be the link between students, educators, and companies and will among other things work with:

• coordinating and managing internship processes for students

• collaborating with companies and internship sites about internship placements

• guiding students in connection with internships and internship applications

• contributing to matching students and internship sites

• following up on internship processes in dialogue with students, companies, and educators

• strengthening the collaboration between the school and the business community by preparing and maintaining internship confirmations

There may be travel activity in connection with contact to companies and internship sites.

We are looking for someone who

• works independently, is structured, and detail-oriented

• thrives with coordination and collaboration with many different actors

• has good IT skills and is an experienced user of the Office suite

• has good communication and formulation skills in both Greenlandic and Danish

• would preferably have knowledge of lectio, IT-rec, and the Greenlandic education system – but this is not a requirement

About KTI – Vocational School and Gymnasium

KTI – Kalaallit Nunaanni Teknikkimik Ilinniarfik is a modern and resource-rich educational institution with approximately 150 employees. We have activities in Nuuk and Sisimiut and offer both vocational education and gymnasium education.

Within vocational education, KTI offers programs in:

• Iron and Metal School

• Raw Materials School

• Construction and Civil Engineering School

In addition, we offer language courses as well as gymnasium education:

• GUX

• e-GUX

• North Atlantic Gymnasium Class

KTI also offers access courses to engineering and marine engineering programs.

KTI has a collaboration with the Technical University of Denmark – DTU Arctic on two engineering programs as well as the operation of the marine engineering program Teknika.

Furthermore, KTI is responsible for the operation of student housing in Sisimiut.

Employment conditions

The workplace is in Nuuk.

Start date by agreement.

Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Government, the right to assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
