The Municipality of Sermersooq is looking for students for part-time work in our daycare. The position is particularly suitable for students in pedagogy, social and health fields, or related education – but anyone with an interest in working with children is welcome to apply.

Job tasks:

∙Participate in the daily life of the daycare together with the permanent staff

∙Create a safe environment and support the children's well-being

∙Practical and pedagogical tasks under supervision

Working hours:

∙Flexible part-time employment

∙Working hours are planned week by week and adjusted to your study schedule

∙Possibility for extra hours if needed

We expect you to:

∙Be responsible, reliable, and eager to work with children

∙Be able to work in a team and accept guidance

∙Be in the process of or planning an education

∙Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement

Criminal and Child Certificate:

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police and the criminal certificate from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, on an hourly basis.

Housing:

No staff housing can be provided for the position.
