Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq is looking for engaged retirees for part-time work in our daycare. We need extra hands, especially in the morning hours, where stability and security for the children are important.

Job tasks:

∙Help with the opening of the institution

∙Be a present adult for the children in the morning hours

∙Support the permanent staff in everyday life∙

Light practical and pedagogical tasks

Working hours:

∙Part-time, primarily in the morning

∙Few fixed hours or flexible agreement as desired

∙No evening or closing shifts

We expect you to:

∙Want to work with children

∙Be stable, caring, and approach with calm and responsibility

∙Have experience from working with children, is an advantage but not a requirement

∙Be bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement

Criminal and Child Certificate:

This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal and child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon when the municipality has received the child certificate from the national police as well as the criminal certificate from the police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, on an hourly basis.
