Learning Consultant for the Education Area
Qeqqata Municipality is seeking an engaged and development-oriented learning consultant who will contribute to strengthening the connection between the municipality's various learning environments and support the development of quality in learning and teaching.
The position has been created as part of a strengthening of the education area with a focus on creating coherence between municipal and national learning efforts and ensuring a clear thread across day care institutions, schools, Majoriaq, and other initiatives within the education area.
The position can be filled with a workplace in either Sisimiut or Maniitsoq.
About the Position
As a learning consultant, you will be a central resource in the work of creating coherence between learning environments, strengthening cross-disciplinary collaboration, and supporting the development of shared understandings of learning in the municipality.
You will work closely with leaders and employees across the education area and collaborate with Kivitsisa on the implementation of learning strategies and development initiatives.
The position requires that you can work both strategically and translate ideas and visions into concrete actions in practice.
Your Tasks
- Coordinate learning efforts across the education area.
- Strengthen collaboration between day care institutions, schools, Majoriaq, and other relevant actors within the education area.
- Assist in the implementation of municipal and national strategies, initiatives, and development goals in the learning area.
- Collaborate with Kivitsisa on the implementation of learning strategies and development projects.
- Support the development of learning environments with a focus on quality, well-being, and professional development.
- Contribute to quality development, evaluation, and follow-up on learning efforts.
- Facilitate networks, workshops, and cross-disciplinary professional collaborations.
- Contribute to the development of joint initiatives, annual plans, and learning goals across the education area.
- Advise and collaborate with leaders and employees on learning, development, and implementation.

About the Education Area in Qeqqata Municipality
The education area includes, among other things, day care institutions, schools, MISI, Majoriaq, leisure and cultural areas, as well as preventive and early interventions. We work purposefully to create a common direction, strengthen collaboration, and ensure good learning and development opportunities for children, young people, and adults throughout the municipality.
The learning consultant will be a key person in this work and will contribute to creating coherence between the many initiatives and actors in the area and support the development of a clear thread in the learning processes.
Salary and Employment Conditions
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between Naalakkersuisut and the relevant professional organization.
The position is a full-time position with commencement on September 1, 2026, or by further agreement.
The workplace is either Sisimiut or Maniitsoq by further agreement with the employee.
Housing
Staff housing can be provided, for which rent is paid according to applicable rules.
Staff housing cannot be expected to be made available upon commencement, but the municipality will assist in providing temporary housing during the transition period, if possible.
