Technician

KNI is looking for a structured, experienced, and skilled technician for the service center in Sisimiut, starting on April 1, 2026, or by further agreement.

We are looking for a colleague for the service center, where there are a number of construction tasks that need to be planned and managed in close collaboration with our client advisors. Every day, we have several urgent tasks that require a quick solution.

KNI has a versatile and informal organization. It is everyone's responsibility to take care of the many tasks, which is why it is a requirement that you are a team player, structured, tidy, and responsible.

You will be part of a team that services the service center, as well as all the villages and towns where KNI is represented.

The technician reports to the technical manager.

As a technician, your tasks will be:

· Provide support from the office regarding technical installations.

· Urgent matters regarding breakdowns of electrical installations, etc.

There should be expected a fair amount of travel activity associated with the job.

Collaboration with other departments on annual prioritization lists regarding the budget.

· Daily tasks for the service center

· Update of fire equipment and emergency plans

· General maintenance, including budget responsibility

· Responsible for compliance with applicable laws/regulations, etc.

· Monitoring of bottle vending machines and theft alarms

We want the position filled by a person with:

· Education as a technician or other relevant education

· Relevant experience with technical installations

· Knowledge of financial management in Excel

· Knowledge of IT at the user level

· Knowledge of drawing software, such as AutoCAD

· Independent and responsible

· Experience with supervisory tasks

· The language – Greenlandic, Danish, knowledge of Greenlandic and culture is an advantage.
